# Adding a Multi-Select Dropdown Field in the CMS Course Creation

Hey everyone, I’d like to know if it’s possible to add a new field in the CMS for course creation as a dropdown list with multiple selection. If so, how can I do it? Thanks!

Hey Anwar, could you share more info on what you are trying to build? Do you mean an additional field in the course creation form apart from name, org, run, etc.?  
Also, are you running Open edX on tutor? If so, which tutor version?

Yes, I mean adding an additional field apart from name, org, and run. If that’s not possible, can it be added in advanced course settings page? Also, I’m using Tutor 17.0.4.

AFAIK, for that to work, you’ll need to create new models to save those data and update the MFE and API that works while creation of course.
