I took clone of edx-demo course (hawthorn version) from the following link:

> **[edx/edx-demo-course](https://github.com/edx/edx-demo-course/tree/open-release/hawthorn.master)**
>
> a demo course that can be imported into edX. Contribute to edx/edx-demo-course development by creating an account on GitHub.

while importing the course in my open edx(installed with hawthorn version). it is creating the error at the updating stage of importing.

@Mohit_Chaurasia, Can you check the logs in your server?
The log should be available at `/edx/var/log/lms/edx.log`

If there was an error during import, the error should show in that file.
Could you copy the contents of the error here?
