# Deprecation/Removal: Node 20 public-engineering#407

Hello.

We plan to deprecate and remove support **Node 20**.

Please read [openedx/public-engineering/issues/407](https://github.com/openedx/public-engineering/issues/407) for more information and to post any questions or comments. The proposed deadline for comments before acceptance is **September 12, 2025**.

Once the ticket is accepted, removal won’t happen until **October 9, 2025**.

After acceptance, all future notifications around removal will only be posted to the GitHub issue, so be sure to watch that issue if you want further updates.
