# Deprecation/Removal: PersistentGradesEnabledFlag (DEPR-152)

Hi there,

We plan to deprecate and remove the `PersistentGradesEnabledFlag` model, `CoursePersistentGradesFlag` model, and `assume_zero_if_absent` waffle flag, enabling database-persisted grades for all courses. We are targeting removal for April 20, 2021, to be included in the **Maple** release (December, 2021)
