# Greek Translations Issues

Greetings.
So I set up tutor and Im trying to translate it into greek. Now I see that MOST of the strings are in the corresponding el.json etc in the openedx-translations repo( which I forked and made the needed changes). So strings that are already in there , once changed are shown correct, but there are two main issues.
1. django.po files are not included for el . I cant find figure out the process on how to set them up so is there a way for a quick run-through on how to do that ?
2. el.json is loaded for pages like /learner-dashboard/ but for pages like /courses/ it seems that it doesnt run with mfe therefore there are no translations whatsoever ( even tried other languages like DE , ES etc but still nothing) . So basically everything running from the [http://local.openedx.io:8000/courses](http://local.openedx.io:8000/courses) have no translations, and even some parts are hardcoded like “ **Unlock Your Potential: Discover New Courses Today!”.** Now I can set up a new theme and hardcode them to my language but I wouldnt prefer that. So any idea how to translate those as well?

Hi @Brillios_White and welcome to the forums.
Just as an FYI in the Ulmo release we will have a new MFE enabled for course catalog which I think will make translations there easier.
I’m not sure how to follow up on the rest of your issues, maybe @omar can assist.

@Brillios_White forking the openedx-translations repository is advanced and even [edX.org](http://edX.org) / 2U just recenlty started to think about it.
I’ve done it myself but for very specific reasons at [GitHub - nelc/futurex-translations: Custom translations for the FutureX Open edX Platform](https://github.com/nelc/futurex-translations)
You’ll need to sync it regularly with the original [GitHub - openedx/openedx-translations: Open edX Translation files in sync with Transifex](https://github.com/openedx/openedx-translations/) and possibly fix git conflicts.
Re: hardcoded strings
- yes, those exists someone has to fix them. it would be great if you so do or encourage someone else to do it
Re: theme transaltions:
- Hardcoding in your theme is totally fine, if you’re looking for a single language
- Otherwise, if you need multiple languages I enoucage you to use the [COMPREHENSIVE\_THEME\_LOCALE\_PATHS setting](https://docs.openedx.org/projects/edx-platform/en/latest/references/settings.html#setting-COMPREHENSIVE_THEME_LOCALE_PATHS) to specifiy custom po/mo files for your theme
Re: Fixing greek transaltions or missing entries

- Greek has super low reivew rate, someone needs to go manually and review the strings
