# How can we add a new feature state in the instructor student admin panel

How can we add a new state in the instructor student admin of a course

and can we add through the plugin slot for this.

I think this will be easier in Verawood as we move to the new Instructor Dashboard MFE. @DianaVillalvazo can likely provide some tips, but it would be useful to understand what you mean by “a new state” - what are you trying to do?

similar to delete learner state and reset student attempt need to add another state and using the ulmo version.

Hmm. I’m not sure if that’d be possible in the instructor dashboard (either the legacy version or the frontend app debuting in Verawood) without adding a new endpoint in openedx-platform. Do you know if there’s already an endpoint that you could hit that would provide the “new state” you’re looking for?

yeah i think that is not possible rn, it will need a new endpoint and create a new slot so it can be configured in the right place
