I’m developing a `custom-xblock` .
I have installed `xblock-sdk` and using the same for xblock development. I can test `student_view` in xblock-sdk but I want to test `studio_view` in the same environment.

Right now in forward to test studio\_view, I have to install my developed custom-xblock in edx-platform. If there is any way to test it in xblock-sdk then development can be faster and reliable.

Hi @ritay,

Allow me to quote Braden from another topic:

> It’s probably worth mentioning that as an XBlock developer, I personally don’t use the XBlock SDK anymore, and just develop and test my XBlock directly in Studio+LMS. The XBlock SDK is useful for learning XBlocks and testing very simple XBlocks but for anything complex it acts differently than the LMS so is less useful.

That goes for all XBlock developers I personally know. Most of us just fire up [a devstack](https://github.com/edx/devstack) and develop using that as a runtime, instead of the SDK.

(I know that doesn’t answer your question as stated, sorry. It might be that accessing studio\_view in the SDK is possible. I just don’t know.)
