# Learner account activation

Hi guys,

i have successfully deployed my Open edX instance, but when students try to register they are getting an activation link like this:

[http://localhost/activate/27f32ecb36d14038b46ae9bc7abb1472](http://localhost/activate/27f32ecb36d14038b46ae9bc7abb1472)

how do i configure it to use my host ip address instead of using 127.0.0.1[localhost]

Hi,  
I think setting proper values for LMS\_BASE and SITE\_NAME in ~edxapp/lms.env.json and ~edxapp/cms.env.json is the solution.  
They must point to your lms server. ( eg. `online.myeducation.org` )

they are all pointed to my server.

You also need to edit the variable SITE\_NAME
