## Meeting notes

### **2. Working Groups Follow-Ups:**

#### Marketing (@estebanetcheverry ):

- The creation of the Open edX vs Moodle video comparison is in progress. Led by Esteban and Eden. This is the [document](https://docs.google.com/document/d/14dD50Lu-aEaQ-1STaTIoHCtNJsWgY0NABz6LfcP4mwQ/edit) where they have put the key information it should contain.
- A list of How-To videos is available [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1m1zTyiIDYkDI79AgGw_JNeWi1hkIZptRUbwirgPnPJQ/edit#gid=1843368591). The idea is that everyone records the videos with the themes they select to collaborate on. Then the videos will go through a revision phase and, finally, they will be edited to give them the same visual identity.
- Updates and testing of the Open edX Sandbox are in process.

#### BTR (@nedbat @Dean ):

- The Nutmeg version has been officially [released](https://discuss.openedx.org/t/nutmeg-has-been-released/7444)! the [release notes](https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/open-edx-release-notes/en/latest/nutmeg.html) are ready as well. Check them out!

#### Frontend (@arbrandes):

- The work to add a way for MFEs to fetch configuration dynamically from edx-platform is still on the way: [feat: add mfe config api by MaferMazu · Pull Request #30473 · openedx/edx-platform · GitHub](https://github.com/openedx/edx-platform/pull/30473). Jump in if you are interested!
- The [Areas of Improvement for Micro-frontends Discovery](https://openedx.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OEPM/pages/3390701611/Discovery+Findings+Areas+of+Improvement+for+Micro-frontends) has been released. Check it out and let the front-end working group know if you have any feedback.

#### _Request for help:_

Xavier is looking for some feedback on [TOC Community Members Elections - Brainstorm thread](https://discuss.openedx.org/t/toc-community-members-elections-brainstorm-thread/7314)

### **3. Events:**

- Nothing to add. Please to let me know in case you have any updates on this.

### **4. Projects:**

- **Django events and filters (@mgmdi - @Felipe)**: They are close to finishing the backport to Nutmeg.

#### _Request for help:_

They require some review to [[BD-32] feat: Open edX Filters backport by mariajgrimaldi · Pull Request #30583 · openedx/edx-platform · GitHub](https://github.com/openedx/edx-platform/pull/30583)

### **5. Improvements and Calls/offers for help (@Dean @braden )**

- @Dean and @antoviaque prepared a great recap of what was discussed at this point of the meeting:

> [@Core Contributor Sprint Retro - June 10th - June 24th](https://discuss.openedx.org/t/core-contributor-sprint-retro-june-10th-june-24th/7657/2):

> @Felipe Do you mean [this drydock](https://github.com/airshipit/drydock#drydock_provisioner)? I looked at its documentation but honestly couldn’t understand what it’s supposed to do. It seems like an alternative to Terraform; is that right? If so I can’t see the appeal.

If you think you can lend a hand to any of the core contributors that are blocked, feel free to reach out to them!

#### Side note: We now have an [Open edX Working Group Calendar](https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=c_v86shrnegshsqgp4fj2k94u7bc%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America%2FNew_York)!
