Job Opportunity: Open edX Technical Lead
Role: Open edX Technical Lead
Location: Remote (US-based required)
Compensation: ~$130k/year
Engagement: Long-term project / contract (Implementation partner: Hexaware for a for-profit client)
Key Responsibilities:
Overall technical ownership of the Open edX platform
Architecture reviews, recommendations, and technical governance
Release planning, oversight, and platform stability/scalability
Vendor coordination and production issue escalation management
Required Skills & Experience:
Open edX: Deep expertise in architecture, platform administration, Tutor-based, and traditional deployments
Core Tech Stack: Python, Django, MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch
Infrastructure & Cloud: Linux administration, REST API integrations, and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
Ops & Leadership: Performance tuning, troubleshooting complex platform issues, stakeholder, and vendor management
