# Video xblock for openedx

Does anyone recommend the video xblock rather the default youtube block which has been installed succesfully on ironwood?

For your question, it depends on your intended use case. Is there anything that the default XBlock doesn’t already do for you? Also, there are several alternative video XBlocks, which one are you referring to?
