I wonder if it would be better to start a new topic for each meeting?
I like the fact that all people who one day replied to this topic are automatically receiving notifications (or at least they should be).
Important note: because next Monday is a holiday in the US, the next meetup will happen instead on 2020-10-13T16:00:00Z. The calendar was updated accordingly.
I have subscribed to the BTR calendar but it didn’t seem to move the event on my calendar, so make sure to double-check your own calendars so you won’t miss it!
@nedbat You are not alone. Same issue on my side. As the entry seems to be for a recurring meeting, my Google Calendar doesn’t want to move it. I will have to create a personal entry in order to remind me of it.
As a friendly reminder, the meetup will take place 2020-10-13T16:00:00Z – that’s today! Here is the agenda:
- Discuss new Juniper issues, if any
- Review ongoing commitments
- Discuss ongoing projects:
- The upcoming community installation that will replace the current native installation (see conversation)
You should open an issue with Google @sambapete. (and that will teach you to use free software )
EDIT: thanks everyone for attending! Here is the recording: https://us02web.zoom.us/rec/share/4CRalpkeq0Zq_N1BNfU-a08NU0HlQwUDL1PwHJhnkwDIIG9RW-6CC0LzEG1DtHpS.qJBV-yqe2tc1qz2A (password: &Eg#F3c!

The next meetup will happen on 2020-10-19T09:00:00Z → 2020-10-19T10:00:00Z. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this meetup.
Is there someone who would like to replace me as the event’s “scrum master”? Maybe @BbrSofiane who I know sometimes attend both Eastern and Western meetups?
Here is the provisional agenda:
- Discuss new Juniper issues
- A user reported an issue with the Apple social authentication backend (see ticket). The fix should be relatively easy. Is there a volunteer to start a PR on the open-release/juniper.master branch?
- Newly discovered issues should be added to the board, in the TO DO column, with a description as thorough as possible.
- Review ongoing commitments
- Meetup participants who have assigned issues in the “In Progress” column should discuss their progress. Is there anything blocking you? Can the working group help you in any way?
- Discuss ongoing projects:
- Do we have field reports from people who have tried running the current Open edX master branch?
- @arbrandes is gathering feedback from the community about the future community installation, which is going to replace the native installation. If you’d like to discuss this, I encourage you to watch the last 15 minutes of the recording of the previous meeting.
Great, thanks a lot! I’ll let you add the meetup URL then.

One thing though is that I can’t record the meeting.
We’ve moved to zoom.
Please join.
It was a meeting of two people so we’ve decided to report updates here.
My updates - I’ve reviewed bugs been raised during our internal regression and I’m going to create issues on the Jira BTR board in two days.
As a friendly reminder, the next meetup will take place 2020-10-05T15:00:00Z → 2020-10-05T16:00:00Z.
Here is the agenda:
- Introductions: I suggested during a previous meetup that we could all introduce ourselves at the beginning of the meeting by posting a link to our summary bio from this forum. As an example here is mine: https://discuss.openedx.org/u/regis/summary Please prepare your bio prior to the meeting
- Discuss new Juniper issues, if any
- Discuss ongoing commitments
- Additional discussion topics:
- Koa release: I would like to talk about documentation. As part of our work during the Koa release, we will be creating lots of useful documentation content. These words will end up in Jira, where they will disappear, swallowed by the sands of time and forgotten by all. I would like those words to end in the official docs. However, these docs are spread over multiple repositories and it’s difficult to know what should go where. Is there an ongoing effort at edX to better centralize the docs? Are there people out there who would like to contribute?
- Update on the new community installation (maybe @arbrandes?)
As usual, please feel free to add items to the agenda.

FYI I added a password (it’s “btrwg
”) to the Zoom meeting so that we don’t have to deal with waiting rooms. It was updated in the first post of this topic as well as in the calendar. If you use an outdated calendar client (such as Google Calendar) you will have to switch to a more modern alternative or update your own calendar manually.
The next meetup is… today! From 2020-11-02T09:00:00Z → 2020-11-02T10:00:00Z 5, 2020 5:00 PM → October 5, 2020 6:00 PM .

The next meetup is 2020-11-23T16:30:00Z → 2020-11-23T17:30:00Z. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend, as I will be participating in the core committers retrospective. Could someone please take my place as an organizer?
Maybe @pdpinch? Silly me, you’re also on the CC program… @sambapete maybe? EDIT: we decided to move the meeting by 30 minutes.
Here is the agenda:
- Discuss new Juniper and Koa issues, if any (see the BTR board)
- Discuss ongoing commitments
- Start assigning Koa issues for resolution: we need to actually open PRs to resolve existing issues.
EDIT: Here is the recording https://us02web.zoom.us/rec/share/8OpHzzpiOEUFkh628welly0ZynXfEVn7ve1tswyi2Vpj6wzra8RgeuYJMZgA0iUU.N3BoCVoTimUOjNME (password: .hkC2VL6

The next meetup will take place 2020-11-30T09:00:00Z → 2020-11-30T10:00:00Z. Unfortunately something has come up and I will not be able to attend. @BbrSofiane do you think you could help again to coordinate this one?

- Discuss ongoing commitments.
- Make sure all issues tagged for Koa are assigned to someone for resolution.
