We plan to deprecate and remove the django-ratelimit-backend library from edx-platform. We are targeting removal after 2020-03-16. This is one of multiple rate limiting backends in edx-platform.
Potential Impact: As a part of this change, we will be removing the usage of the django admin login view(you’ll get sent to the regular login view) for logging into django admin. To say a different way, /adim/login will redirect to /login?next=/admin.
Please read [DEPR-150] Remove django-ratelimit-backend from edx-platform - JIRA for more information and to post any questions/comments. The proposed deadline for comments before acceptance is 2020-03-15.
