We plan to deprecate and remove several settings related to block structure caching. We are targeting removal after 2021/03/08.
The following settings are being deprecated:
block_structure.raise_error_when_not_found (DEPR-143)
block_structure.invalidate_cache_on_publish (DEPR-144)
block_structure.storage_backing_for_cache (DEPR-145)
BLOCK_STRUCTURES_SETTINGS[‘PRUNING_ACTIVE’] (DEPR-146)
These settings are in edx-platform. Most of these settings were intended to be removed years ago, but have remained as an oversight. The remainder are being set to sane defaults that we expect should work for everyone, but we need help in verifying this from the community. The proposed deadline for comments before acceptance is 2021/03/01.
