Welcome to the Open edX Community Documentation Hackathon 2025!
On March 19th, the Documentation WG will host the Open edX documentation hackathon. The main reason is to review in a general way Open edX documentation repositories and add the Maintenance Chart as a joint process tool that allows us to have the documentation in the best possible condition according to the style guide and the documentation parameters of the community, but also to create the necessary issues to update the documentation and to be able to work together to have the documentation in the best possible condition and thus have a more adoption of the platform and thus have a more adoption of the platform.

How are the logistics?
Considering that community members are in different time zones, the hackathon will be open for 24 hours to allow everyone to participate no matter where they are.
Once we have the list of all registered members, we will share a list of sections and repositories that we recommend you check, but it is only a suggestion. Everyone’s participation is entirely up to you.
And the prizes?
- A $200 Amazon voucher for the participant who contributes the most (Sponsored by Curricu.me).
- A commendation for the top 10 participants at the Open edX 2025 Conference.
Attention Hours
The Documentation WG will be present in the WG Slack Channel during certain hours, to be announced, to help you with any additional questions that might arise during the hackathon.
