The recent release of Sphinx 6.0.0 broke a bunch of automated upgrades because the edx-sphinx-theme was not correctly pinning it’s dependency to Sphinx.
The Arbi-BOM team at 2U has made an update to common-constraints to fix this issue in the short term but the long-term solution will be to complete the edx-sphinx-theme deprecation.
Documentation to transition from the old theme to the new theme has not yet been written but is slated to be available soon.
Maintainers should re-run their python upgrade github actions to generate a fresh upgrade PR that takes the Sphinx pinning into account.
