Amending CC Work Rule around Funded Contribution projects

Hi all,

I have amended a statement in the Core Contributor FAQ here, which states that time spent on Funded Contribution (FC) work doesn’t count as Core Contributor hours.

I think this is correct. I amended the FAQ with an additional statement that time spent on FC work does count as evidence for a Core Contributor nomination, particularly the Conduct & Caliber aspects, as long the individual is meeting the Commitment to spend non-funded time working on or (especially) maintaining repo(s) that the FC project bootstrapped them into having a deep knowledge of.

In practice, we’re already doing it, but I want to make it clear.

Also, this is a wiki page because the rules around the Core Contributor program are expected to grow, morph, and change as the community grows. We may throw out rules or processes that don’t meet our needs, and we are free to organically try out/test ones that we think are promising. I’m announcing this change on Discourse because I don’t see many people watching these pages - if you’d like to I recommend watching the CC page tree, and I would love if you’d tag me in comments in that space for anything else you feel is outdated or missing.

Thank you for these clarifications @sarina !
I will post future CC process questions in context on the wiki.
