I wrote and merged an Architectural Decision Record about the boundaries and responsibilities of Studio (Content Authoring) vs. the LMS (Learning Experience). These are not new ideas. This is mostly just explicitly writing down the many local decisions that have been made for years (Block Transformers, edx-when, grading, etc.), and showing how they add together to a set of high level principles.
Like all other ADRs, this one was announced in the adr-notifications channel in Open edX Slack, as well as the adr-notifications mailing list. However, since Studio and the LMS are so central to the platform, @nimisha suggested that I announce it in an explicit forum post as well.
