Default proctoring tool in OpenEdx

Hello Everyone,

Does OpenEdx provide a default proctoring tool? Because I see a lot of settings related to proctoring in maple release.

Hi @kiran_chauhan,

I’ve never actually set up proctoring in an Open edX instance before, but what I do know is that:

  1. It’s possible;
  2. You have to use third-party proctoring providers to achieve it.

It looks like edx.org supports either RPNow or Proctortrack, so that’s where I’d start looking.

If you only need timed exams, though, you don’t necessarily have to configure a proctoring provider.
