We plan to fix SAMLProviderConfig references to outdated SAMLConfiguration, which will cause a breaking change. We are using the deprecation/removal process to inform and get approval on the planned breaking change.

Once the ticket is accepted, removal can happen at any time. There is no need for operators to transition, other than being aware of an updated process for updating SAML configuration.
After acceptance, all future notifications around removal will only be posted to the GitHub issue, so be sure to watch that issue if you want further updates.
