We plan to deprecate and remove the video_images_upload_enabled endpoint in edx-platform. The functionality of this temporary API has already been incorporated into other API and should no longer be used on its own.
Please read openedx/edx-platform/issues/37270 for more information and to post any questions or comments. The proposed deadline for comments before acceptance is 2025-09-08.
Once the ticket is accepted, removal will happen promptly, as we don’t believe this outdated API is currently in use.
After acceptance, all future notifications around removal will only be posted to the GitHub issue, so be sure to watch that issue if you want further updates.
