@nedbat I read this news post from 2U about EdX merger. It appears as a part of that merger Harvard and MIT will create a new nonprofit that still maintains the Open edX codebase. Is this the case and is there anything else that we need to be aware of from using the platform?

Yes, the $800M proceeds from the sale will be used to fund a new non-profit to steward and extend the Open edX platform, and do other work to improve education around the world.
