Hello everyone,
I’m using the edx-sga XBlock , developed by the MIT Office of Digital Learning , for staff-graded assignments. It works fine on the desktop,
This XBlock is not responsive at all — especially for instructors.
I’ve checked and confirmed that the instructor (teacher) interface is not responsive .
On mobile devices, I am unable to see or access the “Grade Submissions” button.
I’m unable to view student submissions on a phone to assign marks.
The layout breaks or is missing completely on smaller screens.
It’s not possible to grade using a mobile.
I want to ask:
Is there any plan to make this XBlock responsive in the future?
Is anyone currently maintaining or improving this XBlock?
Or should I plan to implement the responsive UI myself?
I’d appreciate any updates or suggestions.
Thanks!

@pdpinch could you weigh in here? Would upstream contributions from @Yagnesh be reviewed and merged?

Indeed, MIT Open Learning does maintain edx-sga. However, we don’t have any plans to improve the mobile experience. If you’d like to open a PR in GitHub - mitodl/edx-sga: Staff Graded Assignment XBlock for the edX platform we will review it.
That said, every time someone asks about SGA, it’s an opportunity to ask – why do you use SGA instead of ORA? Staff grading is a feature of ORA , and I expect it behaves better in mobile.

As a matter of fact, I just merged a PR that improves the mobile grading experience.
