:wave: Open edX developers! We just created the open-release/maple.master branch in all 39 Open edX repositories. :warning: THESE BRANCHES ARE NOT FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION They are only meant to provide a first reference point for developers and contributors, notably the Build/Test/Release working group, who want to help build Maple, the next release of Open edX.

In the next couple days, we will publish a ā€œmapleā€ branch in the tutor repository; this branch will allow anyone to try out the open-release/maple.master branches and report issues.

Speaking of which: how should you report issues that you find in the maple branches? By reporting them to the Build/Test/Release working group! Just create a GitHub issue in the corresponding project: Issues Ā· openedx/build-test-release-wg Ā· GitHub As usual, describe as best you can how to reproduce the issue, and make sure to indicate that it occurs in the maple branch.

We have a working ā€œmapleā€ branch in the Tutor reepo \o/ feat: upgrade to Maple by regisb Ā· Pull Request #509 Ā· overhangio/tutor Ā· GitHub Everyone can now play with it and try it out!

We now have an open-release/maple.beta1 branch that is ready for testing! This means that you should start testing the maple branchā€¦

To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Install Tutor from source and checkout the ā€œmapleā€ branch
  2. Run Open edX with tutor (docs)
  3. Report any issue you find to the Build/Test/Release working group by opening a GitHub issue right here
