My work will be focused on helping with the development and maintenance of the backend of the platform, though I am more than happy to help out in any area! I have been working with Python and Django for the past 6 years, and really enjoy the language and the framework.
I live near Salt Lake City, UT and enjoy the outdoor activities available in this area. I and my family have now visited all 5 national parks in Utah, and love being close enough to drive to other national parks in the Western US. I also enjoy reading, playing/watching soccer, and watching movies. I’m looking to get into vegetable gardening and also learning how to tailor my own clothes.
I love learning and open source, so I’m thrilled to be a part of this community!
Welcome, Taylor! Great to have you in the Open edX community and congrats on your new role at WGU! With your Django experience and passion for open source, you’ll be a fantastic addition. Looking forward to collaborating!
Hi Taylor, it’s great to meet you! My name’s Jordan with OpenCraft. I actually work in Business Development, but we always appreciate connecting with all of the community contributors. I’ve only been to Salt Lake once, actually as part of an annual meetup for another remote company, but I’m based in Vancouver, Canada myself. Both have great parks, but I think Utah may have Vancouver beat there. If you want to say hello and meet some of the team at OpenCraft, you’re welcome to schedule a quick chat with us: https://calendly.com/d/cqzy-d9j-t3t/30-minute-meeting-with-jordan-pooja. Glad to have you on board!
