Openedx integration with blackboard using LTI

Hi,
Is it possible to transfer the content of an entire course from Blackboard to an Openedx course using LTI?

Hi @kamil.smolinski,

Yes, it is theoretically possible to transfer the content of an entire course from Blackboard to an Open edX course using LTI. This is because LTI is a standardized protocol that allows different LMS to share content and tools.

LTI consumer is an xBlock/component in Open edX that allows you to embed content from other applications into your Open edX courses. This means that if Blackboard has a way of exposing a complete course using LTI, then you should be able to display it in an LTI component within Open edX.

The same logic applies to all of the tools that we use through LTI. However, it is important to note that this does not mean that the course is actually stored in Open edX. It simply means that you are viewing what Blackboard is exposing through an LTI component. Additionally, if the course is graded, Open edX will store the grades for that course in the LTI component.
