I have been helping translating content in French (mostly fr_CA) for a few months now.
One thing that bugs me is that single quotes (apostrophes, in French), seem to often be translated by '
While I understand this is the ASCII code for apostrophes, they somehow do not render as apostrophes, they render as '
Because of that, I have been replacing this string by the actual quote character (i.e. ‘) for a while in fr_CA.
I would now want to do the same for the fr locale, but I am not sure if it would be frowned upon.
