Build-Test-Release (BTR) The BTR Working Group reviewed the Willow release cadence proposal and ongoing test automation efforts, with the team continuing to evaluate how automation could support a more flexible release model. The group also reviewed the current testing backlog, with 80 open release test failure reports (50 unassigned) and 24 open E2E findings, highlighting the need for prioritization and follow-up. Governance WG The Governance WG resumed discussions on feedback mechanisms and the Notifications Admin proposal. The group is evaluating different approaches for delivering release notes, including Discussions announcements, a shared Course Authoring course, and forums, while clarifying that the community rejected the proposed Authoring MFE architecture rather than the feature itself. Core Product The Product WG reviewed the Profile Avatar Modernization and Advanced Settings proposals, focusing on using community voting and feedback to decide which ideas should move forward. Data The Data WG reviewed the Aspects 5.0.0 release and new dashboard mockups for Willow, including Pathway, Competency, and Individual Learner dashboards. Frontend The Frontend WG focused on the Composable Gradebook integration, using widgets and slots to embed Gradebook in the instructor dashboard while keeping it reusable. The group also discussed converting Learning into a widget-based architecture and the proposed XBlock React editors plugin, with concerns about long-term stability and the migration to frontend-base.
