Build-Test-Release (BTR) The Build-Test-Release Working Group continued driving the Verawood release, reaching approximately 96% test completion while resolving several blockers, with most remaining issues related to pending backports rather than new defects.The group agreed to continue the Go/No-Go process until all release-critical blockers are cleared and confirmed that the Playwright-based E2E testing initiative is moving forward, with the first architecture proposal approved and migration from Cypress underway. Governance WG The Governance Working Group concluded the Contributions Review Spring Cleaning Hackathon, expanding participation to 21 contributors and significantly reducing the backlog of outstanding pull requests ahead of the final wrap-up. The group also revisited the Single Responsible Person Principle (OSPR) proposal, concluding that current review processes are functioning well and that the main bottlenecks lie in reviewer availability and inactive PR authors, rather than a lack of automation. Deprecation The DEPR Working Group reviewed the deprecation board and continued tracking the removal of legacy v1 libraries and the Legacy Instructor Dashboard. Progress continues on disabling the creation and editing of v1 libraries, while the remaining work for the new Instructor Dashboard centers on CCX compatibility, which is already tracked through an existing DEPR and is expected to proceed after WGU completes its Ulmo upgrade. Frontend The Frontend Working Group finalized key decisions ahead of the frontend-base 1.0 release, confirming that the current configuration precedence will remain unchanged and that existing operator override mechanisms are sufficient. The group also identified an avatar rendering regression across microfrontends, prioritizing a fix before proposing an enhanced initials-based fallback, while continuing final documentation and cleanup work for the upcoming release.
