We plan to deprecate devstack.

Please read [DEPR] Devstack · Issue #907 · openedx/devstack · GitHub for more information and to post any questions/comments. The proposed deadline for comments before acceptance is December 13, 2023.

Once this is accepted, we will plan on moving devstack to the edx GitHub organization under the domain of 2U, where 2U will continue to maintain it for our own development purposes and the official Open edX-recommend approach will be to use Tutor. If your organization also relies on devstack, please let us know in the above ticket.

After acceptance, all future notifications around removal will only be posted to the GitHub issue, so be sure to watch that issue if you want further updates.

Based on feedback, it seems like we still need to delay this deprecation for MFE development reasons. The new acceptance date will be December 13, 2023.

It is past the new acceptance date for this, and I don’t see the comments on here or on the ticket. I’ve marked this issue as Accepted.
