I have encountered a grading issue with the Problem Bank (Beta) component that I am unable to resolve.
I created a Content Library and connected it to a Problem Bank in my course. I configured the bank to randomly select 3 problems. The randomization works perfectly; however, there is a major issue with the grade calculation.
I have set the subsection containing these questions as a ‘Final Exam’ and assigned it a weight of 100 in the grading settings. The progress and final grade are being calculated based on the total number of problems available in the bank, rather than the number of questions actually shown to the student.
In my case, I have 8 questions in the library but only display 3. Even if a student answers all 3 correctly, the final score is recorded as 37.5% (3/8) instead of 100% (3/3).
When using the ‘Legacy’ Library Content block with the same settings, the grade is correctly calculated based on the number of selected questions (3).
Is there any way to configure the ‘Beta’ Problem Bank so that it returns a percentage based only on the number of questions randomly selected for the student?
