Hello everyone!
I’m excited to finally introduce myself here! I’ve been an indirect member of the Open edX community for the past seven years, working at eduNEXT. My name is Albeiro Gonzalez, and I’m Colombian. My journey has been deeply connected to Open edX, mainly in the areas of customer support, customer success, service delivery, and platform testing.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience with Studio and the LMS, testing new features in upcoming releases, communicating feature advantages to users, and some project management. A long time ago, I also helped translate some strings into Latin American Spanish in Transifex.
Last year, I had the opportunity to give a talk at the Open edX Conference 2024 in South Africa about a case study of Open edX implementation in Uruguay (CEIBAL), where I met many members of the community. That experience left me really excited to get more involved and find ways to contribute.
Now, I’m taking the Open edX demo course and following the introduction steps here. I’ve decided to be more engaged with the community and keep learning from all of you. I’m looking for groups to join and ways to help, so if you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them!
Fun fact: I have a pet parrot who is an expert at screaming during my meetings.
Looking forward to connecting with you all!
