Was wondering whats the best way to notify only the enrollers of a course by email when i make an update to the course like adding a new section or unit? From what i dug around i found “Course Highlight Emails” but I’m not certain if that only notifies when first making the course only or not, and looks like a workaround from what I’m trying to do. (best would be an automatic system that send emails to all enrollers when an update is made)
Hello @mega , I don’t think anything quite like this functionality exists in Open edX, at least not that will automatically notify students when new content is added.
Using bulk email, I’d recommend emailing your students when you think there is new content they should check out. This also respects their opt-out preferences.
To notify enrolled students by email about updates to your course, such as adding a new section or unit, you can use the “Email” option in the “Instructor” tab of your course. This feature allows you to send notifications directly to all enrolled students.
By selecting the option to “Email to All Learners,” you can send out mass notifications to all enrolled users, ensuring they are informed of any updates you make.
