Open edX smtp email not being sent

I’m using ironwood.master with devstack.
I set the smtp settings and I tried to register a new user as test but the email never arrived. I followed the instructions of https://blog.lawrencemcdaniel.com/open-edx-setup-smtp-email/ .help me pls
