RTL error in course description

Hi all

Here’s a weird but funny issue  when I write in the course description the text is written in RTL style! Fortunately, we can make a workaround using the raw HTML text, but is important for us to solve this issue for people not so technical. An example in the video below.

Thanks in advance
Regards

Hi @Yago
Can you confirm the version of Tutor/MFE that you are using? there was an issue like this sometime back that did have a fix issued, I’m wondering if you might be running an older release or if this is a separate issue not addressed by the same fix: fix: separate initialValue to not cause re-render on updates by marslanabdulrauf · Pull Request #2599 · openedx/frontend-app-authoring · GitHub

Hi @joel.edwards there they are:

tutor 20.0.5
tutor-mfe 20.1.0

Thanks!

Yup, I think that explains it. As far as I can find the fix was not backported to Teak, unless i missed it somewhere…
Updating to the latest release should fix that issue for you though

Mmm ok, guess we will wait for the next release, as we can use the HTML code workaround meanwhile.

Thanks Joel,
Regards!

@Yago the next release after Teak (Ulmo) was released in January, so no need to wait!

@sarina you are right! Hope our IT have time and we can go to Ulmo nearly :crossed_fingers:
