Tutor and WooCommerce (without Wordpress)

I have built the Tutor Webhook Receiver plugin and enabled it. That all went fine. What I am quite confused about now is how to integrate it with WooCommerce, as it seems that WooCommerce insists on working as a Wordpress plugin.

Is it the case that I need to deploy Wordpress, then setup the WooCommerce plugin for it, and then complete setting up the standalone Webhook Receiver? I don’t want to use Wordpress at all.

If any have gone through this process, without Wordpress as the interface to browse and buy courses on their OpenedX site, I would be glad to hear of it!

You are correct in this assesment. WooCommerce is a plugin for Wordpress. The only way to have it working with webhooks or even with the openedx-ecommerce plugin is to install Wordpress first.

Not wanting Wordpress in your stack is a legitimate concern, but sadly as of right now we don’t have a better lightweight option for selling courses that is broadly supported.
