What is the difference between the old studio which ran at port 18010 and the new studio from the course authoring library which runs at port 2001?

I can not find the documentation for the changes that were made for the new studio. Can someone give me an overview or share a link to it?

The course authoring is the MFE version of the CMS (Studio). You can find the details in the github repo.
