Redwood has been released!

It’s that time of the year again! The Open edX Build/Test/Release working group is proud to present the latest major release of our favorite learning platform: Redwood!

The release brings such improvements as Courseware Sidebar, new Studio MFE, Studio Course Search [BETA] (disabled by default), new Aspects analytics and much much more!

Detailed release notes are available at Open edX Redwood Release — Latest documentation. Thanks to @feoh for preparing the notes!

You should also have a look at the Changelog from Tutor, to check all the nice changes that have landed since you last upgraded: tutor/CHANGELOG.md at master · overhangio/tutor · GitHub

Huge thanks to all members of the Build Test Release WG, Product WG, Maintenance WG, Community Release Planning WG, Security WG, Translation WG and all Community Testers for their great and coordinated efforts! It’s a long list of people who have worked on the release. Truly inspiring! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Huge thanks to @regis and all Tutor maintainers for their hard work in supporting the testing process, ultimately making it all happen.

Special mention to @mgmdi for unbelievable coordination and management! :raised_hands: :two_hearts:

Now let’s wait until Tutor v18 is live, then go upgrade our Open edX platforms and enjoy this tree! :evergreen_tree::rocket:

Not just yet  Please give us a few hours time to release v18 for tutor and all plugins. This takes a little while to re-build all images, and it’s already late in the evening here in Europe…
