Hello all,
Following some discussion in this thread, I’d like to nominate @alexjmpb (Discuss: @alexjmpb) for Core Contributor status specifically for the enterprise-catalog repository.
The context for this nomination is that the current maintainer of enterprise-catalog is stepping down and is no longer in a position to continue in that role. Rather than leave this repository without active stewardship, Alexander is stepping up from our team at edunext to fill that vacancy — and this nomination is the path toward formalizing that transition.
To give you all an idea of Alexander’s 3Cs: he has built a strong foundation as a contributor over his ~5 years working with Open edX-related codebases, accumulating over 60 PRs merged across repositories that extend and build upon the Open edX ecosystem. While he has operated largely in forks behind the scenes rather than in the upstream repos, his technical track record speaks for itself — particularly his contributions to enterprise-focused repositories such as:
- PADV 2570 - Automatically create data sharing consent records for enterprise enrollments by alexjmpb · Pull Request #16 · Pearson-Advance/edx-enterprise · GitHub
- https://github.com/Pearson-Advance/edx-enterprise/pull/15
- feat: adding no-id-professional mode to enrollment api view serializer by alexjmpb · Pull Request #13 · Pearson-Advance/edx-enterprise · GitHub
He has deep familiarity with the Enterprise Catalog microservice specifically — its architecture, its quirks, and its direction — that makes him a good person to step into this role.
Comment Period: I encourage anyone who has worked with enterprise-catalog or interacted with Alexander to weigh in with a +1 or a comment in support. Please provide feedback before 2026-04-08. Let me know if you have any questions.
