The tags dropdown has a pre-defined list of tags. How do I create my own tag? Is that disallowed?
It might be that Discourse requires a certain level of activity before you are allowed to make tags. What tags do you want?
Thanks @nedbat. I’ll let you know next time. Asking you to create tags, and then posting the question (or vice versa) is hugely inconvenient.
I was asking to understand your need, not to create the specific tags for a particular topic. I’m not sure how important it is to have finely tailored tags for discussion topics here.
I was under the impression that tags help in searching. Better searching helps both answer seekers and providers. That’s why I asked.
