I re-run a course and ensured it used edx (new) discussion option.
Except for units that previously had discussion components, all other units I don’t see discussion-enabled label or any option to enable or disable them.
I figured it out, it was implemented in the old outline page.
The mfe branch was cut before the feature was merged.
Since the new discussion is mandatory, I think someone should put it in Redwood.1, otherwise the discussion feature is unstable.
