Hi, I figured I should also do an Introduction.
I’ve been working at edX since October 2012, and on the Open edX team here since its creation in 2014. I am very excited to see what the community does with Open edX. While edx.org is doing a great job teaching courses from 150 top-tier institutions, there’s a whole world of other online education that we would never do. Making Open edX open source lets us contribute to all of that other education also.
Outside of edX, I’m the maintainer of the widely used coverage measurement tool for Python: https://github.com/nedbat/coveragepy. I’ve been deeply embedded in the Python world for a long time.
I have a personal site at https://nedbatchelder.com that has lots more about me, including family stuff, PyCon talks, random blog posts, and so on.
