I added a new announcement through Studio, and the description says it should appear on the dashboard page, but I don’t see it. What could be the reason?
It appears on the course homepage, I believe, not the learner dashboard.
Course updates are communications, especially a welcome message, that learners see at the top of the Course page when they enter the course.

I checked the link you sent, and it’s not exactly what I meant. I went into the Open edX studio, clicked on the user dropdown menu, and went to the maintenance page where I found this feature. It’s worth noting that it might not be displaying due to the MFE plugin, but I’m not entirely sure. I would really like this functionality to work because it’s a very useful and necessary feature.

I’m sorry to say that the reason is that this feature was never ported from the legacy dashboard in edx-platform to frontend-app-learner-dashboard. In other words, while the interface for setting announcements still exists, there’s no way to display them.
