How can I add Kazakh translations?

Hello. How can I add Kazakh translations? On the official site explore.transifex.com/open-edx/openedx-translations/ I see that the translations are completed, but on https://github.com/openedx/openedx-translations they are not available. Maybe they just haven’t been published yet, and if that’s the case, is there a way for me to install them in advance? Or, if not, how long will I have to wait until they are added to GitHub?

it appears to be mostly translated on transifex, but the translations still need review. As far as I understand, only fully reviewed translations are available. If you want to assist in the review process you can sign up for that and contribute, chances are most of the current translations (if not directly made by someone else) are likely to be machine translated values, so may potentially have some issues

How can I add them even with machine translation? So that I can make corrections both locally and in Transifex.

As far as I know, it’s not officially supported/documented how to use unreviewed translations. This topic here may give you some more context: How to use unreviewed translations in Openedx Sumac

As I understand it, I need to join the Transifex project, which I have successfully done. Now I need to review all the translation strings, and only then will the language be added to GitHub. Now I have a few questions:

  1. How can I get access so that I can mark the correct translations (I have already deployed the platform in Kazakhstan at open.kaznu.kz and I believe I have the right to do so)?

  2. Is there a guide on how to properly mark the correctness of translations?

  3. How long will it take for the translations to be added to the GitHub repository after I review all the translation strings?

p.s
@omar and @brian.smith I think I should mention you so that you can answer these questions.

I would also like to know who, besides me, is responsible for reviewing the Kazakh translations in Transifex. I want to make sure that this person is from my country and has a proper understanding of the language. And is it possible to contact them directly in order to collaborate and share the translation review work?

@ehuthmacher is listed as the coordinator, and should be able to expand your rights to reviewer

There’s some documentation here about the process: Quick Start: How to start translating for Open edX — Latest documentation

Where should I write to him? Directly in Transifex?

Hi @abylaikhan.suev.02 I would recommend reaching out in Slack in the #wg-translations chat room.

I can definitely answer this one! Assuming the resource in Transifex is over the 30% reviewed threshold, the main branch of the openedx-translations repo should get the reviewed translations within minutes.
