We need help triaging and solving bugs

Hi all! The Build-Test-Release (BTR) Working Group needs help now to review and solve issues found during release testing. Our list keeps growing, and we do not have enough people to work through it before the next releases.

Our Test Failure Reports board currently has 80 open issues, including reports from several supported releases. We also have a growing list of findings from the new automated test suite on the E2E Findings board.

If you are a bug triager, or would like to help with bug triage, you can:

  1. Pick an unassigned issue from either board.

  2. Check whether it is still reproducible and whether its priority and labels are correct.

  3. Close it if it is no longer relevant, or assign it to yourself if you can investigate or fix it.

  4. Leave updates on the issue so others know what you found and where help is still needed.

You do not need to know every part of the platform to help. These issues cover different repositories and areas of Open edX, so you can start with something related to a part of the project you already know. Maintainers and other BTR contributors can help if you need context or guidance.

If you have some time now, please pick an issue and help us move it forward. Even confirming that an old report is no longer reproducible helps us reduce the list and focus on the problems that still affect the platform.

If you would like to help but are not sure where to start, reply here or reach out in the BTR Slack channel. Thanks!
