The 2U Aperture team would like to take over maintenance of the repositories currently maintained by other 2U (Arbisoft) engineers who are offboarding:
I’ve worked with Max, Jason, and Deborah directly around Learner Dashboard for a good long while, and having recently reviewed their work as maintainers of this repo, I can safely say that we could have no one better be responsible for Profile, Account, Authn, or any other repo. They’ve shown time and again they’re willing to uphold standards, engage with the community, and, perhaps most importantly, review PRs in a timely fashion.
However, I’m not giving this an immediate +1 because I have a concern: will they have the bandwidth to maintain these 5 additional repositories as well as they’ve been maintaining the ones they do now? I’d have no objections to them being added as CCs , but I wonder if we’re just putting too much on their plates by making them maintainers, with all the responsibilities that come with that.
@jristau1984, @deborahgu, @Jason_Wesson, @MaxFrank, or anybody else: let me know if I’m just being overly cautious. It’s not like we have a long line of would-be maintainers going around the corner. But let us know if you’d rather have some other community member take these over.

To speak on Adolfo’s concern, I’m currently in a technical lead role overseeing a new Email Activation team that the Infinity team and I have worked to get onboarded, and we’re expected to know edx-ACE and frontend-plugin-notifications well enough to keep working in them if we need to.
To that point, these won’t be unfamiliar spaces for me to maintain, and the Aperture team and I had originally maintained Profile and Account for a couple of years before handing them over to Infinity. Things have certainly changed in them since we last worked in them, but I think we can take a stab at maintaining these and reassess if needed.
