Bryann has been working with Open edX since 2023 and brings over two years of experience contributing directly to the ecosystem. Throughout this time, he’s made many thoughtful and impactful contributions, always with the best interests of the project in mind.
Beyond his strong technical skills, Bryann is incredibly proactive and collaborative. He consistently finds ways to contribute back, whether it’s through code, ideas, or support in working groups. He embodies the values of Commitment, Conduct, and Caliber - always respectful, helpful, and welcoming to others in the community.

Key Highlights
- Active participant in the BTR group: served as a tester for the last two releases and, most recently, as a Bug Triager for the Teak release.
- Contributed actively to the openedx-events and openedx-filters repositories. See contributions.
- Helped with the migration to newer Python versions across several Open edX repositories. See contributions.
- Led some of the deprecation processes within the platform. See related issues.
- Actively contributing to the edx-platform repository with new features and improvements. See contributions.
- Involved in the FC-0082 User Groups initiative: authored ADRs, developed POCs, and continues to support its implementation. See contributions.
Other Contributions
As part of the Unidigital project, Bryann developed and contributed several platform plugins (see contributions) and XBlocks (see contributions), helping expand the platform’s extensibility and feature set.
Commitment
Bryann is happy to commit an average of 20 hours per month to Core Contributor work and to collaborate closely with maintainers and the community.
