Core Contributor Nomination: Rawan Matar

Hi all! I’m honored to nominate @RawanMatar89 as a Core Contributor with a Code Contributor role to the openedx-apps-ios and openedx-apps-android repositories.

Commitment: Rawan is a member of the Zeitlabs team and has been active in mobile conversations since 2024. She is one of the only code reviewers for mobile and is very generous with her time in supporting various efforts.

Caliber: Rawan has rapidly and thoughtfully reviewed multiple large, high-priority mobile PRs for both Android and iOS. She has contributed fixes for RTL support (here, and here) as well as SSO for SAML for the mobile apps. More recently she has contributed this OEP-68 to add learning academy/ multi tenancy to the mobile apps, a significant change that will hopefully unlock access to the app for instances.

Conduct: Rawan brought forward an implementation for Learning Academies, respectfully considered all perspectives during the OEP discussions, and graciously shared authorship with another provider to help move the feature forward for the platform.

Comment Period: Please provide comments/ feedback on Rawan’s nomination by December 18th. I’m thrilled to support this nominations, please feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you!
